Nollywood has lost one of its finest role interpreters, Gbenga Richards to the cold hands of death. He was aged 60years old.
It will be recalled that the news made the rounds recently that the thespian had taken ill and solicited for help.after battling an unknown ailment. The news of his death was confirmed by his son, his ex-wife and his colleague and movie director, Femi Adewale.
Ace society journalist, Moji Danisa shared a video of Richards and wrote: “Just learnt that Nollywood actor, Gbenga Richards is dead.
What a life! 😢😢😢” , a post which has elicited comments as at press time.
The once vibrant actor, who was a force to reckon with in the 1990s and early 2000s
Gbenga Richards, who turned 60 in February, starred in blockbuster movies like ‘Sango’, ‘Mirror in the Sun’, ‘Betrayal by Love’, ‘Fighting Machine’ and a host of others.
He was very gifted and his impeccable diction endeared him to many.
