The Specialist Crime Team of the Metropolitan Police in London has detained a former Senate Deputy President Dr. Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
Following reports from Sky News, a former deputy senate president and wife who are 60 and 55 years respectively were arrested for alleged conspiracy to harvest the organs of a child who they have arranged to be flown from their country home, Nigeria.
The child has however been taken into protective custody with the gender or the age of the child or the location of the arrests not disclosed.
The duo will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today.
The revealed that the investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022. Culled: Galaxy.
