
Ogun 2023: Akinlade to contest governorship seat, launches RESET mission
A 2019 Ogun gubernatorial aspirant and former federal lawmaker, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, on Tuesday declared his intention to vie for the position again come 2023 on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta.
The epoch- making event was a carnival of sorts as his supporters across Ogun State converged to witness his declaration
While speaking, Akinlade said “My vision for our dear State is hinged on the domestication of all human and infrastructural development because I believe that only prosperous people can truly appreciate and preserve the investments across our communities, “Come 2023, God willing, our administration shall from day one confront the cancerous issue of insecurity head- on to ensure that the safety of lives and property remain paramount without abusing the rights and privileges of our people.”
Speaking further, he said: “To this end, our 6-point plan will inter alia address the following,
Security, Agriculture Driven Human Capital Development, Strategic Internally Generated Revenue Modules., Healthcare.
Social Justice. and Urban renewal.”
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the the Triple A campaign logo and slogan. The mission to RESET Ogun State to its place of pride and honour.
It will be recalled that Akinlade former lawmaker who represented the people of Egbado South/Ipokia Federal Constituency at the eighth assembly,
contested the governorship ticket on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in 2019.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance include; factional Chairman of APC in Ogun State, Chief Derin Adebiyi, Sen. Iyabo Anisulowo, Chief Biyi Otegbeye amongst others.
