Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has declared his intention to vye for the office of presidency.
Speaking at a Town Hall Meeting in Abuja today, Fayemi told the large gathering: ” We must guarantee a bright future for our children and people. As a people guided by the leadership structure , we will move forward. We share a strong desire to save the moment. As a nation, we triumph over adversity and I am proudly Nigerian.”
He added: “I stand before you all today to accept that my name be put forward by the All Progressives Congress to be the standard bearer for our party as a successor to President Muhammadu Buhari.”
He said this was after due consultation with his family members and associates. More details later.
